This is a precision drill guide. Your drill mounts on the chuck shank and slides on the guide rods. The base pivots inn both directions to set the desired angle and there are stops for depth control. The chuck will accomodate up to 3/8" shanks. The base is hard plastic so it doesn't mar your work and has v-groove's for drilling round stock. A very handy unit.
